How to get AI to recommend your med spa business

AI recommends the med spas that name their treatments, their providers and their prices in plain text. Give each treatment a page, show who performs it and their credentials, keep your booking and review profiles complete, and ask clients for reviews that mention the treatment.

Med spa clients ask AI two kinds of question: who does this treatment well near me, and who can I trust with a needle. A spa whose site answers both with names and credentials is far easier to recommend than one with a menu of brand names and a booking button.

What customers ask AI

These come from the panel NamedTest uses for med spas. They are almost all about a named treatment, and the urgent ones are about timing before an event rather than an emergency.

Urgent
I want Botox this week in your city. Which med spa should I book?
I have an event this weekend. Which med spa in your neighborhood can see me today?
Price
How much does Botox cost in your city, and which med spas charge fair prices?

Trust and reviews

What AI cited in St. Louis

In October 2026, we asked 10 questions from this panel about St. Louis on Perplexity and Gemini (model knowledge). The 20 answers named 50 different med spas, and the 6 named most held 31% of all mentions.

10 answers cited sources. Apart from the named med spas' own websites, the sites they cited most were these, with the number of answers citing each:

  1. medspascout.com (6)
  2. thecliniccompass.com (6)
  3. trustanalytica.org (5)
  4. whelth.com (5)
  5. medspagenesis.com (4)
  6. fresha.com (3)
  7. medicalspareviews.com (3)

Of the 6 named most, 0 were named by every tool we asked, 1 had their own website among the cited sources, and AI gave a website for 3. Among them, 5 came up for urgent questions and 5 for questions about trust and reviews.

Look for specialty directories and review roundups in that list as well as general review sites. When a med spa directory is on it, a complete profile there is one of the quickest fixes you can make.

What to fix, in order

  1. Give each treatment its own page

Our med spa questions ask about these treatments by name:

    • Botox
    • dermal fillers
    • laser hair removal
    • chemical peels
    • microneedling
    • HydraFacial
    • lip filler
    • IPL photofacial
    • body contouring
    • medical weight loss

On each page, say who performs it, how long it takes, how many sessions most clients book, the downtime and a starting price.

  2. Introduce every provider

Write a short page for each injector and provider with their license or credential, their training and the treatments they do. Name the medical director or supervising physician if your state requires one. Trust questions are where med spas win or lose AI answers.

  3. Answer "this week" questions

Clients ask AI who can see them before a wedding or a trip. Say whether you take same week bookings, how far ahead to book a treatment before an event, and link straight to your booking page.

  4. Keep booking and directory profiles complete

Booking platforms and med spa directories often appear in AI answers. Claim your profile on each one AI cites for your city, list your treatments and providers there too, and keep the name, address and phone identical to your Business Profile.

  5. Use the right Business Profile categories

Choose the category that matches how you are licensed and what you mainly do, then add the treatments as services with a line each. Keep holiday hours current, since many clients book around holidays.

  6. Check markup and crawler access

Booking widgets can hide your treatment list from crawlers. Run the AI crawler checker, and add LocalBusiness markup with your address and hours using the schema generator.

  7. Ask for reviews after the follow-up

Results from many treatments show after a week or two, so ask at the follow-up visit or by text once results are in. A review that names the treatment and the provider is the most useful kind for AI.

  8. Match Instagram and Facebook to your booking details

For many med spas, Instagram is the busiest profile they have. Muse (Meta's own page about Muse) is Meta's personal AI agent, and Meta has not shared what it uses when someone asks about a business. It might read your Meta profiles, so keep them consistent, even with no proof that it shifts results. The spa name, address, phone, opening hours, booking website and list of services should read the same on Instagram, on Facebook, on Google Business Profile and on your site.

Questions med spas ask us

Should I name the medical director or providers on my site?

Yes. Clients ask AI who is qualified to inject, and a page that names each provider with their credentials and training gives it a direct answer. Keep the titles exactly as licensed.

Is it fine to post prices per unit or per syringe?

Prices or starting prices for your main treatments help, because clients ask AI what Botox or filler costs in their city. Say what the price includes and that a consultation sets the final plan.

Do before and after photos help AI name my med spa?

AI reads text more than images, so add a short caption to each photo naming the treatment and the number of sessions. Only post photos clients have agreed to in writing.

Why does AI name med spas that are not in my city?

Med spa names, booking sites and directories often cover a whole metro area. Say which city and neighborhood you are in on every page, and make your Business Profile address and service area exact.
